South Arm Beach

South Arm Beach is a roughly 2.5-kilometre sandy shore on Tasmania’s South Arm Peninsula, facing west across the Derwent estuary. A headland at the southern end provides some shelter from swells moving up the river, while the open setting suits walking, jogging, family picnics and water activities. Parking is available near the South Arm War Memorial on Jetty Road. Conditions can still change with wind and tide, so check the water and shoreline before entering.
