Big Roaring Beach

Big Roaring Beach, on the Surveyors Bay coast of southern Tasmania, is a broad sandy beach a short drive from Dover. White sand, coastal eucalypts and a quiet setting give it a natural feel suited to walking, unwinding and taking in the bay. The beach is associated locally with cold-water swimming, and visitors also use the coast for swimming, sea kayaking and fishing when conditions are suitable. It is a calm, nature-focused coastal escape rather than a busy resort foreshore, so local conditions should be assessed before entering the water.
