Putney Beach

Putney Beach is one of the sandy beaches on Great Keppel Island that can be reached from the visitor arrival area. The island is accessed by boat from the Capricorn Coast and offers numerous beaches, coastal scenery and a quieter alternative to the mainland. The first walking track to Putney Beach begins steeply, and limited supplies and telecommunications on the island mean visitors should plan ahead. The beach suits a relaxed shore visit combined with island walking.
