Monkey Beach

Monkey Beach is a quiet sandy beach on Great Keppel Island, reached by boat from the Capricorn Coast. Its distinctive character comes from Monkey Beach Reef, a recognised snorkelling and diving area within the island’s reef environment. Access to the surrounding Keppel Bay Islands National Park is by boat only, so visitors need to plan transport and equipment in advance. No-anchoring rules apply around Monkey Beach Reef and Big Peninsula, and swimmers should allow for changing marine conditions.
