Pickup Beach
Pickup Beach is an approximately 800-metre sandy shore at Verona Sands on the D’Entrecasteaux Channel, with views toward Bruny Island and nearby Huon Island. At the western end, a single-lane concrete ramp is provided for launching vessels, and the sandy beach is also identified as a kayak launch point. Verona Sands has a public toilet nearby. The beach is somewhat sheltered but can receive wind waves, so conditions should be checked before entering the water.
