Mission Beach

Mission Beach is a long sandy tropical ocean beach linking four coastal villages along about 14 kilometres of shoreline on the Cassowary Coast. Palm-fringed sand, rainforest scenery and the offshore Family Islands shape its distinctive setting, while cafés, restaurants and visitor services are available in the villages. Seasonal stinger nets and holiday-period patrols support swimming in some sections, but crocodile warnings and changing tropical sea conditions remain important considerations. Visitors should check local signs, net status and current safety advice before entering the water.
