Four Mile Beach
Four Mile Beach is a broad sandy beach on the Coral Sea beside Port Douglas. Palm-fringed shoreline, open ocean views and the nearby Flagstaff Hill trail create an easy setting for long walks, sunrise views and short scenic outings toward the Daintree rainforest and offshore islands. Swimming, stand-up paddleboarding and kitesurfing are established activities, with the main access area providing parking, toilets and an outdoor shower. Tides, surf and seasonal marine stinger conditions can change the experience, so swimmers should use the designated area and follow local warnings.
