Balgal Beach
Balgal Beach is a long sandy shoreline north of Townsville, used for swimming, fishing and boating. The Balgal Beach Park section near the foreshore provides parking, camping areas, a boat ramp, picnic facilities, a children’s playground and public toilets. A kiosk by the park offers simple food, including fish and chips, making this part of the coast practical for a relaxed day visit. Conditions can vary along the open shoreline, so visitors should check local signs and warnings before entering the water.
