Maroubra Beach

Maroubra Beach is a broad, sandy beach of about 1 km on Sydney’s eastern coast and one of the city’s best-known surfing destinations. Its regular swell has helped establish a strong surf culture, and the beach is recognised as Australia’s second National Surfing Reserve. Families and day visitors have access to a children’s playground, outdoor recreation areas, barbecues, cafes, showers, toilets and free parking. Surf conditions can be dangerous at times, so swimmers should use the flagged area, follow warnings and assess their ability.
