Bungan Beach
- Surf spot
Bungan Beach is a sandy 600-metre surf beach running between Bungan and Mona Vale Heads on Sydney’s northern coast. A continuous sand bar and rocky headlands shape a range of wave and current conditions along the shore. Strong rips can form beside both rocky ends, with shifting rips across the beach and a forceful shore break at times, so swimming and surfing require careful judgement. The northern end is particularly noted for its established surf breaks and open coastal setting.
