Manly Beach

Manly Beach is a broad sandy Pacific-facing surf beach in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, divided into the Queenscliff, North Steyne and South Steyne sections. The shoreline curves for about 2 km and is backed by Norfolk pines, a promenade and easy links from Manly Wharf via The Corso. Surfing, swimming and foreshore walking are central activities, while a submerged reef near Queenscliff helps create waves valued by experienced surfers. Visitor facilities include showers, toilets, parking, a beach wheelchair, an inclusive playground and drinking fountains, with cafés and restaurants close by. Ocean conditions can change, so follow local signs and use the red-and-yellow-flagged swimming areas.
