Gillams Beach

Gillams Beach is a sandy shore within the Recherche Bay Nature Recreation Area on Tasmania’s remote southern coast. The campground opposite the beach has 18 sites, a water tank and basic pit toilets; tank water is untreated and should be treated before drinking. Access continues south of Ida Bay along gravel roads that can be negotiated by two-wheel-drive vehicles with care. The Recherche Bay shoreline is used for swimming, fishing and beachcombing, but facilities are basic and visitors should arrive prepared.
