Fotheringate Beach

Fotheringate Beach forms part of Flinders Island’s natural coastal landscape beneath the Strzelecki Peaks. It can be reached on the roughly 2-kilometre Trousers Point coastal walk, with granite formations, sea-shaped limestone caves and broad Bass Strait scenery along the way. The bay is relatively well protected and is considered suitable for family visits, but the beach is unpatrolled and water conditions can change quickly. Facilities are limited, making it best suited to visitors prepared for a quiet, nature-focused outing.
