Cookies Beach

Cookies Beach lies near South Durras on the Murramarang National Park coast, a quiet sandy shore framed by vegetation and low rocky headlands. Access from Banyandah Street leads to a picnic area with parking, toilets and tables. Beach views, the geological formations of Wasp Head and eastern grey kangaroos near the sand are distinctive features of the setting. The beach can be used for swimming and coastal walks, but south-easterly swell may produce powerful surf, so assess conditions before entering the water.
