Austinmer Beach
- Family friendly
- Surf spot
Austinmer Beach is a sandy ocean beach in the coastal village north of Wollongong, set between low headlands and broad rock platforms. Its southern end has two rock pools, while the foreshore provides a large car park, toilets, showers, picnic areas and accessible facilities, with cafés and shops nearby. A fenced playground adds to its appeal for family outings. The beach is exposed to surf and has strong permanent rips against the rocks at both ends, so conditions should be assessed carefully before entering the water.
