Tanote Bay is a sandy cove on Koh Tao’s east coast, framed by high green hills and large boulders. Colourful coral and large fish begin just a few steps from the shore, and the big rock in the middle of the bay is well known for rock jumping. A steep concrete road descends to the bay, where the resorts along the shore run restaurants, and it is also known for its sunrise views.
