About this beach

Shark Bay, also known as Ao Thian Ok, is a bay on Koh Tao’s south coast with fine white sand shaded by coconut palms. It is named after the blacktip reef sharks often seen here, and the bay is also a nursery for their young. Green turtles live in the bay and should never be touched. Land access passes through a resort that charges an entry fee; the bay can also be reached by boat or kayak.
