About this beach

Maharaj Beach is a quiet white-sand beach at Ban Cha Thing Phra in Sathing Phra district, north of Songkhla, lined with casuarina trees. The water stays fairly shallow close to shore. A small park behind the sand holds a statue of Prince Chumphon standing and facing the sea, and there are places to stay and eat nearby. The beach faces east, so sunrise is a highlight.
