James Bond Island is the popular name for Khao Phing Kan, a pair of limestone islets in Phang Nga Bay within Ao Phang Nga National Park. Tour boats land at a small sandy beach, and the name Phing Kan refers to split rocks whose tops still lean on each other. Just offshore rises the slender Ko Ta Pu pinnacle, made famous by a 1974 James Bond film. It is reached only by boat and gets very crowded at tour times.
