About this beach

Ao Ku Ning is a sandy beach about 2 km long on the south-west coast of Koh Ra, the steep, forest-covered island north of Koh Phra Thong. It faces the open Andaman Sea towards the distant Surin Islands, with coconut palms and mangrove swamp behind it. No scheduled boats serve the island, so visits mean hiring a boat at Kuraburi pier; swell builds during the southwest monsoon.
