About this beach

Chao Samran Beach is a long, fine-sand beach about 15 km from Phetchaburi town. Local tradition says King Naresuan and King Ekathotsarot stayed here for several days, giving the beach a name tied to royal leisure. A royal residence built on this shore under Rama VI was later moved to Mrigadayavan Palace. Restaurants, including seafood places, and accommodation are found along the quiet seafront.
