Cha-am Beach is a long, wide sandy shore in Phetchaburi, about 170 km south of Bangkok, popular with both Thai and international visitors. Food vendors, deck-chair rentals, horse rides and jet skis are found along the beach, which has a livelier northern section and a southern section, both with shops, hotels and guesthouses. Toilets and showers serve day-trippers.
