About this beach
Bang Sak is a sweep of soft sand about 5.5 km long on the northern Khao Lak coast, lined with shady casuarina trees. Thai families come for weekend picnics and sunsets. Resorts cluster towards the southern end, locals and fishermen use the central stretch, and simple seafood restaurants and beach bars sit behind the shore. Currents and waves strengthen in the monsoon.
