Bang Lud is a beach of about 5 km on the northern Khao Lak coast, running from Ban Thap Tawan north to the fishing village of Ban Nam Khem. The sand is narrower than at Bang Sak and lined with casuarinas, and only a few resorts such as the Pullman and the Khao Lak Marriott sit behind it, so it tends to stay quiet. Waves and currents can strengthen in the monsoon, so warnings should be checked.
