Ban Thap Tawan Beach lies in the northern part of the Khao Lak coast, between Bang Sak to the south and Bang Lud to the north. It stands out for its noticeably white sand and shallow, clear water. Large resorts such as Le Méridien sit behind the shore, while a few small restaurants and bars on the beach offer simpler food and drinks. The area is quiet, with little beyond the hotels.
