Taroona Beach

Taroona Beach is a sandy swimming beach in the residential suburb of Taroona, on the Derwent River south of Hobart. Around a 15-minute drive from the city centre, it pairs naturally with the Taroona Foreshore Track, a coastal walk through remnant bushland with views across the river. The beach area has parking, public toilets, accessible amenities, a picnic area, BBQs and a playground. Some sections around the headlands are narrow bush track, so care is sensible on foot.
