Cowrie Beach
Cowrie Beach is a quiet sandy shore on Tasmania’s east coast near Swansea. Bushland trails and the surrounding protected coastal landscape give it a more natural character than the area’s busier serviced beaches, making it appealing for walking, photography and coastal views. Parts of the approach pass through natural terrain, so suitable footwear and preparation are worthwhile. Wind, swell and tide can alter the shoreline; swimmers should assess conditions before entering the water.
