Clifton Beach

Clifton Beach is a sandy surf beach south-east of Hobart, opening onto Storm Bay. Its south-eastern exposure receives southerly swells; waves commonly average around 1–1.5 m, while rips can also occur along the beach. Access is available at the end of Clifton Beach Road, and popular activities include walking, jogging, picnics and water sports. Conditions should be assessed carefully before swimming or surfing.
