Snelling Beach
Snelling Beach is a sandy beach on Kangaroo Island’s north coast, backed by a foredune and the Middle River floodplain. North Coast Road passes the western end, where visitors find beach access, parking and a roadside lookout over the shoreline. The beach is about 660 metres long and receives waves averaging over one metre, with four beach rips and permanent rips beside the rocks. Swimmers should assess conditions carefully and keep vehicles within the marked access areas to protect dunes and native habitat.
