Rocky River Mouth
Rocky River Mouth is a remote sandy beach where the Rocky River meets the Southern Ocean inside Flinders Chase National Park on western Kangaroo Island. The fine-to-medium sand shore south of the estuary is backed by dunes and protected parkland. Walking trails from the Snake Lagoon area lead to the river mouth, while the nearby campground provides basic toilets and picnic tables. The setting is best approached as a wilderness landscape for river-mouth views and coastal walking rather than a serviced swimming beach.
