Hanson Bay
Hanson Bay is a small, secluded bay on Kangaroo Island’s south coast, west of Kelly Hill Conservation Park. The sandy beach is reached via the partly unsealed West River Road, with a walkway leading to a second section of shore. The area is used for surf fishing and combines Southern Ocean views, dunes and a wildlife-rich wilderness setting. The river mouth may offer more suitable swimming conditions, while the exposed coast still calls for careful observation of the sea.
