Seven Mile Beach

Seven Mile Beach is a broad sandy shoreline of about 10 kilometres, close to Hobart and Hobart Airport. Several access points lead to the coast, including Lewis Park, Grueber Avenue and Surf Road. Walking, jogging, picnicking, water activities and surfing are popular here, while the Lewis Park end provides public toilets, showers, picnic space, barbecues and play facilities. Waves are usually low to moderate, but rips can occur and may become stronger as the surf increases, so swimmers should assess conditions before entering.
