Roches Beach

Roches Beach is an east-facing sandy beach on Tasmania’s Clarence coast. It is sheltered from southern swells and prevailing south-westerly winds, with the southern section usually experiencing low waves. Several access points serve the shore, including Bayview Park, Lauderdale Canal and the southern end of Kirra Road, and common activities include picnicking, walking, jogging and water recreation. Rips can occur and may strengthen when surf rises, so conditions should be checked before entering the water.
