Red Ochre Beach
Red Ochre Beach sits north of Spectacle Head at Dodges Ferry, facing Frederick Henry Bay as a relatively sheltered shoreline. A central outcrop of low rocks and boulders divides it into two sections; the northern side is wider and sandy, with low foredunes adjoining Blue Lagoon Reserve. Boatsheds and shallow coastal water add to its local character. It suits quiet shoreline walks and swimming when conditions are suitable, but the rocky sections call for care.
