Raspins Beach
Raspins Beach is a sandy beach beside the Prosser River mouth at Orford on Tasmania’s east coast. Its position close to the town and Tasman Highway makes it a practical day-stop, with public toilets on the foreshore. The coastal reserve is used for swimming, beach walking, fishing, kayaking and birdwatching, while the nearby Orford Bird Sanctuary adds important habitat to the setting. Floods, shifting channels, sand deposits and coastal erosion can alter the river mouth and shoreline over time, so treat access and water conditions as changeable.
