Primrose Beach

Primrose Beach fronts the Primrose Sands settlement on Frederick Henry Bay, east of Hobart, with a long sandy shoreline and a residential backdrop. The Crown coastal reserve can be reached from several points, including Primrose Sands Road and Petrel Street, while a boat-launching area serves the western end. Basic seating, barbecue and toilet facilities near the Esplanade support day visits. Conditions can vary along the exposed shore, so swimmers should check wind, waves and tide before entering.
