Opossum Bay Beach
- Family friendly
Opossum Bay Beach lies on the South Arm Peninsula south-east of Hobart, beside a rocky headland that gives the shoreline a sheltered, relaxed character. Access is available through Opossum Bay Park, with additional council parking on Spitfarm Road. The beach is usually protected from southern ocean swell, but stormy westerly weather can make conditions more exposed. Walking, jogging, picnicking and water activities are popular here, while anyone entering the water should assess the conditions first.
