Okines Beach

Okines Beach lies immediately north of Dodges Ferry on the eastern shore of the inner Pitt Water estuary entrance. It is a shallow sandy tidal beach with sandstone formations, rock pools and areas suited to exploring marine life when the tide falls. Public access is documented around First Avenue, although coastal erosion has affected the embankment and access infrastructure in places. The beach is best suited to quiet walks and shoreline exploration, with tides, shallow flats and local access conditions considered before entering the water.
