Mariposa Beach
Mariposa Beach is a sandy East Coast Tasmania shore near Falmouth, set within a quiet coastal landscape. Its surroundings retain the small-settlement character of the Falmouth area and suit visitors looking for a simple shoreline stop. The beach also has a distinctive local history: a whaleboat party landed here in 1816 while sheltering from rough weather. Walking and shore fishing are natural ways to experience the coast, with facilities kept minimal.
