Kings Beach
- Family friendly
- Surf spot
Kings Beach is a broad sandy urban beach in Caloundra on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Its south-east-facing shore is partly protected from larger waves by Moreton Island, making it popular for swimming, relaxed beach time and learning to surf. The foreshore has a 25-metre seawater pool, a children’s wading and water-play area, showers, public toilets, picnic tables, barbecues and nearby parking; cafés, restaurants and takeaway outlets are close by. Some of the beach is patrolled, but conditions can change, so follow local signs and swim between the red-and-yellow flags.
