Gunyah Beach

Gunyah Beach lies on the ocean side of Coffin Bay National Park, where sheltered inlets give way to the Southern Ocean. A long sandy shore sits below some of the Eyre Peninsula’s largest mobile dunes, with mallee vegetation adding to its remote character. Access is via difficult, high-clearance 4WD tracks from Coffin Bay; route markers, soft sand and tides all matter. The exposed surf suits fishing, beach driving and dune exploration more than casual swimming.
