Almonta Beach

Almonta Beach lies on the southern coast of Coffin Bay National Park, east of Point Avoid, backed by coastal dunes and mobile dune fields. It is an exposed surf beach used for nature observation, fishing and occasional low-key camping, so swimming deserves careful judgement. Point Avoid has a car park and stairway to the beach, while toilets are available at Golden Island Lookout. The access road is suitable for 2WD vehicles, but care is needed around the sand dunes.
