Thap Sakae Beach lies on the open coast north-east of Thap Sakae town, a short way north of Laem Kum. On the shore of Ban Thung Pradu, the next village north, the community runs an award-winning ‘sand and sea therapy’ programme: visitors are covered in sand while listening to the waves, then drink coconut water and try local food. The tour also includes watching sailing boats and visiting a local fishing group.
