Mae Ramphueng Beach curves for about 4 km around Ao Mae Ramphueng, just east of Bang Saphan town. A road follows the shore, lined with seafood restaurants and beachfront places to stay, yet the beach itself is generally quiet. Behind the western and central parts of the bay lies the protected Pa Klang Ao forest, an evergreen stand with many large yang trees. Waves can build during the monsoon.
