Salmon Beach
Salmon Beach is a long sandy shore on the southern Yorke Peninsula, reached through Hillocks Drive. The beach is about 1.4 kilometres long and exposed to south-west swell and winds, with large dunes behind it and rocky or limestone features along the coast. Hillocks Drive uses private-property access, so visitors need to plan for the designated route and conditions. Coastal walking, fishing and scenery are the main draws; the open exposure means water conditions can vary and should be judged on the day.
