North Beach

North Beach is a broad white-sand beach north of Wallaroo, stretching for more than two kilometres along Spencer Gulf. It is one of the few South Australian beaches where cars can be driven onto the sand, which is convenient for carrying equipment but calls for care around tides, vehicles and other beach users. A nearby playground adds a family-oriented touch. In suitable conditions, the shallow, relatively calm gulf water supports swimming, while the open sand is popular for walking, kite flying and beach games.
