Mermaid Beach is a broad sandy ocean beach on the Gold Coast. Its low-rise surroundings, wide foreshore park, public toilets, BBQ areas and viewing platforms give it an easy day-visit character. It is used for morning swims, long walks and surfing, with lifeguard patrols at several towers, although coastal conditions can change. The open sand, family-oriented park space and accessible beach equipment add to its regional appeal.
