Broadbeach
- Family friendly
- Surf spot
Broadbeach, identified locally with Kurrawa Beach, is a wide sandy Gold Coast shoreline just south of Surfers Paradise, backed by vegetated dunes, parks and an urban skyline. It is a lively destination for swimming, surf lessons, water sports, walking, markets and family picnics, with cafés and restaurants close to the sand. Pratten Park and the foreshore provide playgrounds, shady barbecue areas, modern amenities, wheelchair-friendly access and a Changing Places facility. Rips, channels and troughs can occur, so swimmers should use the patrolled sections and judge conditions on the day.
