About this beach
Chao Lao is a long beach in Tha Mai, backed by coconut palms and other trees, with the Chaloem Burapha Chonlathit coastal road and its cycle lane running alongside. The sand is fine and a wide flat is exposed at low tide. Resorts and restaurants line the route, and boats take visitors to shallow coral about 2 km offshore.
