Waitpinga Beach

Waitpinga Beach is a long sandy beach opening to the Southern Ocean within Newland Head Conservation Park. It sits among Waitpinga Cliffs, rolling dunes and mallee heath and forms part of the Wild South Coast Way and Heysen Trail walking network. The beach is a short walk from the nearby campground, and the car park has an accessible toilet. Strong rips and hidden gutters make it unsuitable for swimming, but the coast is known for surfing and shore fishing.
